Dùthchas Into Advent Retreat

You are warmly invited to our Into Advent retreat in 2026, Watch for the little Child!

Come and join us for a time of reflection, prayer and fellowship as we enter the season of Advent together. Inspired by the promise of “a shoot…from the stump of Jesse,” we will pause to look beyond fear, disappointment and the limitations of what seems possible, and open ourselves to the new life God is bringing.

We will allow the vision of Isaiah 11 to stretch our imagination and open us to hope. At the end, Matthew’s account of John the Baptist will remind us that Advent hope is not passive: if we receive the poem as a vision of God’s future, we are also invited to become people who begin to live its reality now.

This retreat invites us to watch for the signs of Christ’s coming, to rediscover hope, and to consider how we might become people who embody God’s peace, justice, healing and joy in the world. Come along, take a breath, make space for God, and watch for the new thing God is growing among us.

Retreat Includes: Guided reflections on Isaiah 11:1-9 and Matthew 3:1-12, times of silence and spaciousness, optional creative engagement. Refreshments provided.

Cost: £25 (Refreshments and materials included) There are 20 spaces.
